Job Description:

The Grimsby Town Foundation Shadow Scholarship is a joint education and football development programme in partnership with Franklin College. The Education Lead will be responsible for planning, developing, assessing, coaching, and delivering teaching and learning within the department.

Your key responsibilities
Teaching Responsibility:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to meet student needs, supporting UCAS applications, career pathways, and work experience placements.
  • Plan and prepare courses and lessons, contribute to curriculum development.
  • Monitor and report on student performance, attendance, and progress.
  • Contribute to community liaison, resource development, and quality assurance.
Course Leadership Responsibility:
  • Manage course development, assessment, resourcing, and student guides.
  • Promote courses through open evenings and workshops.
  • Manage resources, timetabling, and health and safety.
  • Conduct departmental self-assessment and liaise with examination bodies.
Other responsibilities
  • Contribute to safeguarding, Prevent, and equality policies.
  • Support match days and work evenings/weekends as needed.
  • Attend meetings and CPD, obtain relevant football qualifications.
What we’re looking for
Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent in relevant subject
  • PGCE/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Teaching experience, including trainees
  • Experience in extracurricular activities, pastoral support, and student achievement.
