Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Legal Assistant to join the Education Law Team within Warwickshire Legal Services. The role involves handling SEND Tribunals, admission appeals, and education law matters for local authorities and schools.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for learning a new area of law, strong client care and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Interest in learning a new area of law.
• Strong client care and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and support staff.
• Good IT literacy and administrative abilities.
• Either 36 months’ relevant experience or a legal qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, representation and support in relation to SEND Tribunals and School Admission Appeals.
• Assist Education Law Team with casework and research.
• Support other staff and contribute to a high‑performing legal team.
• Deliver high quality client service and maintain accurate records.
