Role
As an Educational Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with medical, physical, and emotional needs. Working closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and families, you will ensure that students are able to engage fully in their education while receiving the necessary care and support.

Responsibilities
- Assist students with medical needs, including administering medication, supporting mobility, and managing personal care routines.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provide tailored classroom support.
- Foster a safe and positive learning environment through physical and emotional support.
- Monitor students' well-being and maintain accurate records of care and interventions.
- Facilitate inclusion during break times and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals regarding students' health and welfare.
- Support the creation and implementation of health care plans alongside medical and educational staff.

Person Specification
- Previous experience working with children or young adults, particularly in healthcare or education.
- A solid understanding of medical conditions, disabilities, and learning challenges.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach with a strong commitment to improving students' well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
- A relevant health and social care qualification or a willingness to work towards one.
- First aid experience and knowledge of emergency procedures are desirable.
- The ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.
