Education, Health and Care Plan Coordinator

Salary: Grade 7 £31,586 to £36,124 per year

Location: Scunthorpe, Church Square House

Hours: 37 hours per week

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in 11 days at 23:59 BST.

The Vacancy

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated EHCP Coordinator to join our SEND team and help deliver high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

About the Role: As an EHCP Coordinator, you will manage a caseload of EHCPs for children and young people aged 0–25. This includes overseeing the statutory assessment process, coordinating multi-agency contributions, drafting and reviewing plans, and ensuring compliance with statutory timescales and quality standards. You will work closely with families, schools, and professionals to develop personalised, outcome-focused plans that support each child’s progress and well-being.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the EHCP process from assessment to review for a designated caseload.
  2. Ensure timely, legally compliant, and high-quality EHCPs.
  3. Liaise effectively with education, health, and social care professionals.
  4. Act as a point of contact for families, providing clear advice and support.
  5. Monitor provision and contribute to strategic SEND planning.

  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Experience with EOTAS cases.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
