Marchant Recruitment is assisting a vibrant secondary school in Hackney to recruit a Finance Officer on a full-time basis, starting ASAP. You will manage day-to-day financial operations and support management accounts, budgets and forecasts while maintaining strong financial controls.

The role requires an organised, analytical candidate with experience in school finance and the ability to collaborate with senior leaders and budget holders across the school.

Competenze

• Organised, analytical and detail-oriented with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving in a team setting.
• Experience in a school, academy or multi-academy trust is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Assist with monthly management accounts and budget monitoring for senior leaders and Governors.
• Monitor income and expenditure, investigate variances and liaise with budget holders.
• Support annual budgets, multi-year forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Oversee day-to-day financial administration: purchase orders, invoices, supplier payments, reconciliations.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, year-end procedures, audits and statutory returns.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and public funds usage.
