Marchant Recruitment is working with a vibrant secondary school in Lambeth to recruit a Finance Officer on a full-time basis, starting ASAP. The role sits in the central finance team and focuses on accurate financial administration and timely reporting.

You will support monthly management accounts, budget monitoring, forecasts and cash flow, while ensuring compliance with financial policies and statutory returns.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be organised, analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet financial deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and budget monitoring information for senior leaders and Governors.
• Monitor income and expenditure, investigate budget variances and liaise with budget holders to resolve discrepancies.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets, multi-year financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Oversee day-to-day financial administration: purchase orders, invoices, supplier payments, reconciliations, and maintaining records.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, year-end procedures, external audits and statutory financial returns.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls and academy finance regulations.
