Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a reliable Finance Assistant to join a Liverpool secondary school, starting ASAP. The role supports the school's financial operations and helps ensure invoices, payments and records are processed accurately.

Ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and good IT proficiency with Excel and financial systems. Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential. Working hours are 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance assistant, accounts or financial administration role.
• Strong numerical skills and high accuracy.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices, purchase orders and payments.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets.
• Assisting with financial administration, reconciliations and record-keeping.
• Supporting budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.
• Responding to finance-related queries from staff and suppliers.
• Handling confidential financial information with discretion.
• Providing general administrative support to the finance team as required.
