We are looking for an innovative, self-motivated, driven individual to lead our Handsworth tuition centre to reach its full potential. With a passion for education, you will play a pivotal role in shaping an inspiring learning environment for children to thrive. Excited by the prospect of a challenge, you will embrace the opportunity to take complete control of your centre operations working independently to drive performance and maintain impeccable customer service every day!

At our Handsworth centre, we operate a unique 4-day workweek model. You will be the sole manager on-site during your working days – supported by a Regional Manager and a fabulous part-time tutor team. This structure gives you the autonomy to lead your team, make key decisions, and drive the centre’s success.

The Role

What you’ll be doing:

  • Diagnose key areas of centre improvement using a range of key performance measures to construct a clear plan to achieve both short and long-term performance outcomes.
  • Communicate your strategy for the centre with your team to create clarity and alignment to clearly defined goals.
  • Set ambitious, achievable goals and motivate your team to deliver, at pace, outstanding results for both our customers and the business.
  • Inspire and develop a team of part-time Tutors providing daily feedback and upskilling them to deliver an exceptional educational experience for their members. Bold in your approach, you will not shy away from challenging conversations understanding that these will be necessary to drive improvement.
  • Tailor customer journeys from prospect to member, ensuring outstanding experiences that meet individual needs.
  • Cultivate a strong community presence in the local area. Going above and beyond to foster strong relationships with key community stakeholders, parents and staff to establish a positive community reputation.
  • Lead the implementation of new initiatives and guide your team in adapting to changes effectively.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A fearless attitude – who is not afraid to try something different, think creatively and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills who can engage and empower their team while maintaining clear and credible interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in leadership and managing a team, with a track record of setting and achieving goals at pace.
  • A passion for education and making a difference for children, along with a strong sense of educational professionalism and credibility.
  • Strong commercial experience, excited to take overall responsibility for centre profitability, reputation, and operations.
  • Self-motivated, can take a proactive approach to challenging situations and implementing new initiatives.
Logistics

Location: You will be based at our Handsworth, Birmingham Explore Learning Centre.

Starting salary: £31,250- £33,750 per annum (FTE). This will be pro-rata based on the 4-day working week.

Contract: 4 days Full-time, permanent contract

Working Hours:

Wednesday 11am - 8pm

Thursday 11am - 7pm

Friday 9am - 6pm

Saturday 9am - 5pm
