An established industry player is seeking a passionate Education and Training Lead to join their mission in preventing gambling harms among young people. This home-based role involves engaging with stakeholders, delivering accredited training, and running interactive workshops. You will play a key role in reaching out to approximately 1,900 young people and 225 adults, making a tangible difference in their lives. If you have a knack for public speaking and a desire to work collaboratively while promoting a vital cause, this opportunity is perfect for you.
This is a home-based role with weekly travel within Northern Ireland, including occasional overnight stays to deliver programme activities.
Following the success of GamCare’s Young People’s Gambling Harm Prevention Programme, which has reached over 130,000 young people and trained more than 28,000 professionals, we have secured funding to continue this vital work. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey.
As an Education and Training Lead, you will engage key regional stakeholders, deliver accredited training to professionals, run interactive workshops with young people, conduct awareness sessions with parents and carers, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the programme's effectiveness.
You will be part of an enthusiastic team committed to supporting young people affected by gambling harms across the UK. A basic understanding of gambling harms is beneficial, but enthusiasm to learn in a supportive, non-judgemental environment is essential.
If you excel at engaging young people or facilitating training and can build strong stakeholder relationships to promote our programme, you may be the ideal candidate.
You will be responsible for promoting and delivering activities for the BigDeal Programme in your region, reaching approximately 1,900 young people and 225 adults (pro-rata depending on start date).
Experience in championing, promoting, and marketing programmes or services is important. You should actively seek opportunities, maintain stakeholder relationships through accurate record-keeping, and identify future delivery opportunities.
If you are passionate about preventing harm to children and young people, enjoy working collaboratively yet autonomously, this role is suitable for you.
Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of support for individuals affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment, raise awareness, and promote safer gambling practices within the industry.
We welcome applications from candidates with lived experience and are committed to equality and diversity. Visa sponsorship is limited; candidates outside the UK or without the right to work in the UK are advised not to apply.
