A higher education institution is seeking an Education and Student Support Administrator to provide essential administrative support across various teams. This role is critical in managing student support processes, including handling sensitive information and supporting operational tasks like exams and graduations. The ideal candidate will have proven administrative experience, excellent communication skills, and a high level of organization. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months, based in the West of England.
The Administration and Records Team, based within the Education and Student Success division, is a shared service team who provide operational support, administrative support, and process improvement for education and student support processes. We work closely with other teams across the University, including the Student Resolution Service, the Exams, Timetabling and Graduation team, and the Academic Quality and Policy Office.
This is a varied role, covering a number of important education and student support processes. It is a great entry point for anyone looking to develop a career in Higher Education.
Provide administrative support to a number of teams within the Education and Student Success division. You’ll service a variety of staff and student facing meetings, carry out diary management, create and update relevant documentation, provide an award and record verification service to alumni and third parties, and support students, staff, and examiners with the postgraduate research examination process.
Manage the administration of student support processes, including disciplinary and risk assessment committees. This work will involve interaction with sensitive student casework requiring high levels of emotional intelligence.
Support key operational processes. You’ll provide operational and administrative support for key processes throughout the year, including events such as examinations, graduation, and registration.
Routine communication with students and staff. Responding to queries and requests for information as required and in line with University policy and procedure, whilst maintaining confidentiality and adherence to GDPR.
Ensure all outputs are documented and quality checked. You’ll write and update documentation, and where necessary feed into training documentation.
Provide great looking, easy to use and accessible reporting products that everyone in the university can tap into. You support the reporting needs of the University, help the division and the wider university make decisions.
