Job description

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust (BRCT) is the award-winning independent charitable arm of Blackburn Rovers FC, a founding member of both the English Football League (EFL) and the Premier League. The Trust leverages the influence of football and the club’s brand to inspire positive social change within the community.

Successful candidates will be expected to provide high-quality teaching and learning for BTEC Level 1, 2, and 3 sport students. In addition to this core responsibility, they will also support the delivery of other Trust programmes as required.

They will play an active role in curriculum development and the planning and scheduling of courses, ensuring all programmes meet the minimum requirements regarding guided learning hours. Furthermore, they will help manage and support student welfare activities by offering guidance on bursaries, exam entries, and addressing any personal issues students may encounter.

A key part of the role is to monitor and support students’ overall progress and development. This includes the responsibility of collating and monitoring attendance data to ensure effective tracking of student engagement.

The role also involves fostering a learning environment that encourages each student to achieve their full individual potential. Candidates are expected to contribute actively to raising academic standards and to share the Trust’s commitment to providing and monitoring opportunities for both personal and academic growth.
