Education and Practice Development Lead, W&C

Lead and implement focused Paediatric & Neonatal education and training strategies. In conjunction with the Heads of Nursing and Deputy Chief Nurse lead clinical practice initiatives, staff education and professional development. Support multi professional and inter-professional learning. In conjunction with the Heads of Nursing/Midwifery and Deputy Chief Nurse lead policy development, supporting change, innovation and new ways of working for the nursing and midwifery workforce in the CMG. Work in partnership with Matrons, Lead Nurses & Midwives, Sister/Charge Nurses and AHP leads to identify relevant education and training needs through the appraisal Knowledge and Skills framework (KSF)/Personal Development Planning (PDP) process. Work collaboratively with local Universities/Higher Education Institutions and other training providers to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of both pre and post registration education and training. Act as a clinical and professional resource for the multi-disciplinary team, patients and service users. Work clinically alongside registered and non-registered staff promoting and delivering education, practice and the implementation of policies ensuring a workforce fit for purpose and practice. please see job description/person specification for full details on the role.
