Salary: £35,887 - £38,288 per annumGrade: P01
35 hours per week, all year (not term-time only)
Location: County Hall (Pershore Civic Centre)
Team: Virtual School
Fixed Term Contract – 1 year, with scope for extension
The Role:
Worcestershire Virtual School fulfils the Local Authority’s statutory duties in ensuring that children and young people in care, previously in care and those with a social worker receive the best possible educational provision and outcomes.We work with children, young people and their families as well as colleagues across Education, Social Care and Health to ensure our children and young people reach their full potential.
As Education Adviser for Worcestershire’s Multi-Agency Child Protection Team, you will champion educational engagement, progress and outcomes for children with Social Care involvement.
You will be line-managed by the Education Lead for Children With a Social Worker, and work in partnership to deliver the statutory duties outlined below:

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary Multi-Agency Child Protection Team, alongside Worcestershire Virtual School and Children’s Social Care, to offer expert advice and expertise in ensuring good educational engagement, progress and outcomes for children with Social Care involvement.
We are seeking an experienced practitioner who meets the requirements in the person specification to help develop this new role and the new MACPT. This is a dynamic and influential role, with scope for initiative and creativity.You will be joining a highly supportive and motivated team, committed to improving outcomes for our children and young people.
