The position, based at multiple locations, offers the opportunity to develop teaching methods and oversee training programs for medical trainees. Candidates must have NHS experience and MRCOG membership. The contract is for 12 months, with responsibilities split between teaching and service delivery.
The Education Academy within Barts Health is expanding to meet the increasing number of students and trainees, with a commitment to providing the best educational experience. One post is based at Whipps Cross, and the other at Newham Hospital, both part of Barts NHS Trust.
The role offers involvement in other teaching programs for undergraduate medical trainees, Foundation Trainees, and interdisciplinary simulation training. The post holder will work across sites with other education fellows and participate in our Education Forum, which provides a structured development program. All fellows are encouraged to undertake a PG Cert in Education, with funding available, and those with a PG Cert can pursue ILM3 (Leadership & Management Course).
The contract is for 12 months, fixed-term, starting October 2025, with a 40:60 split between teaching and service delivery. The role entails a 40-hour week, banded to a maximum of 1B.
