Barts Health - Education Fellow- Paediatrics & Neonatal

*NHS CLINICAL EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL*

We are looking for Paediatrics and Neonatology trainees ST3 and above/equivalent or post CCT specialist trainee in paediatrics or neonatology, starting onwards from September 2025. GMC registration and NHS clinical experience is essential for this role.

The posts will be based at Royal London Hospital and Newham Hospital which are part of Barts NHS Trust and they will be encouraged to work on collaborative projects.

The successful post holder for this post will be involved primarily with developing educational opportunities within Paediatrics and Neonatology through a wide range of teaching modalities including simulation-based training, clinical skills, lectures, teaching clinics, and bedside teaching to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees. Trainees with an interest in developing/establishing digital learning/platform for teaching are welcomed.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

The contract is 12 month, fixed-term. 40% of the time will be dedicated to Education Delivery. 60% of the time will be undertaken within the chosen Clinical Specialty. This is a 40 hour week contract with the aim of minimal on calls, nights or weekends as part of this post. This will be agreed before appointment and in response to clinical and professional development need. Banding 1B on MN37 pay scale.

  • Previous experience in delivering education, ideally in an inter-professional setting
  • Experience of involvement in research/written papers/public presentation
