Job Description:

The Cheshire East Emergency Duty Team aims to provide the best possible service for children, families, and vulnerable adults across the borough. Working closely with partner agencies and our daytime colleagues, we aim to provide seamless, holistic support and intervention during evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

As a Social Worker on the team, you will provide a high level of risk assessment in complex cases and carry cases to completion whenever possible.

You need to have the skills to support other staff and professionals in dealing with complex issues and to offer advice when appropriate. You should be confident, flexible, and able to work on your own initiative. The work is fast-paced, and you need to be able to make decisions with confidence.

You will be required to use various IT databases to record your work. Training on relevant systems will be provided.

Please note that to apply for these posts, you must be registered as a Social Worker with Social Work England, be an Approved Mental Health Professional under the Mental Health Act, and have significant post-qualifying experience in a statutory setting.
