Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council is seeking a Senior Building Control Surveyor to join the Building Control Team in Clitheroe. The role focuses on ensuring new buildings and alterations comply with safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards, under the Building Safety Regulator framework.

A relevant degree with CABE/RICS membership and a minimum 5 years’ experience are required, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Registered with Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2d (minimum) Building Inspector.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions meet safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.
• Work within the Building Control Team to deliver compliant outcomes.

Pay: PO2-5 (scp 32-35) £44,253 to £47,665 per annum plus £16,000 market supplement for two years (£8,000 per annum)

Hours: 37 hours per week

We are looking to appoint a Senior Building Control Surveyor to join our Building Control Team.

The post holder will work in a picturesque rural Borough and help to ensure new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions meet the regulatory standards of safety, sustainability, accessibility and design.

You will be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2d (minimum) Building Inspector, have a relevant degree with full membership of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or other relevant professional membership, and a minimum 5 years’ experience in a Building Control section.

A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
