Job summary

StoryTerrace seeks a project management professional to oversee a portfolio of live, ghostwritten memoir projects. You will coordinate editorial, production, and design across PRO and Classic lines, serving as the primary liaison for clients, writers, and internal teams.

You will apply sharp editorial judgment to feedback, maintain timely delivery, and build trust with high‑stakes clients. This role requires UK residency and comfort with new tools and AI workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced client-facing environment.
• Publishing, media, or content backgrounds are welcome.
• Genuine editorial judgment: read a manuscript and translate into actionable feedback.
• Commercial awareness: value client relationships and upsell opportunities.
• Comfort with systems, new tools, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Based in and eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Run a portfolio of 60–80 concurrent projects, overseeing editorial, production, and design across lines.
• Be the single point of contact between client, writer, strategist (PRO), development editor (PRO), designer, and internal team.
• Review editorial outputs against benchmarks and provide clear, constructive feedback without hands-on editing.
• Build trust with clients via phone and email, guiding them through emotional aspects of the process.
• Handle emotionally complex conversations with emotional intelligence and professional steadiness.
• Identify, present, and close upgrade opportunities within your portfolio with commercial awareness.
• Troubleshoot production problems and resolve issues as they arise.
