Job summary

BSAVA is seeking an Editorial Assistant to join our Publications team and help manage our internationally renowned veterinary publications. You will support publications through editorial and production stages, including project administration, manuscript and proof checking, permissions management, and coordinating with authors, editors and freelance suppliers.

This is an excellent entry point into a publishing career, with a full-time 37.5-hour week in a hybrid setup, reporting to the Head of

Qualifications

• No publishing experience required.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• MS Office proficiency and ability to work with colleagues, authors and editors.

Responsibilities

• Support publications through different stages of the editorial and production process.
• Handle project administration and manage permissions and project information.
• Check manuscripts and proofs and liaise with authors, editors and freelance suppliers.
• Liaise with authors, editors, colleagues and freelance suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
