Job Description

Avon, a division of HarperCollins, specializes in commercial, high-volume fiction, and has received awards such as Imprint of the Year at the British Book Awards. As an Editor, you will support the team editorially and develop your own list, managing authors from acquisition to publication for both physical and digital editions. You will work across genres, especially women’s fiction and crime, devising strategies to launch titles successfully. This role offers growth potential and requires digitally-savvy candidates with initiative and creativity.

Key qualifications include experience in publishing, strong market knowledge of commercial fiction, desk editing skills, and familiarity with digital trends. The role demands excellent communication, organization, multi-tasking, and a proactive attitude to drive book success.
