We are looking for an inhouse editor to join the dynamic team at rapidly growing luxury leather goods brand Métier. The editor will align our commercial objectives with the brand direction and create content across a variety of channels, including email, social and blog / editorial.

We are looking for someone with exceptional writing skills, who can interpret and communicate the brand tone of voice, but also with a strong visual ability, used to telling strong stories through combination of text and image. The role provides a great opportunity to work and develop together with a passionate team, in a high-growth luxury company with strong industry momentum.

The editor will report to the customer director and work closely with various stakeholders and teams across the business, including creative director, head of digital, head of brand and art director. The team works from beautiful offices in Marylebone, a short walk from the Métier flagship store in Mayfair.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Content creation across multiple channels, including:
  • weekly newsletters
  • website content
  • blog posts and articles
  • social media
• Building a content strategy in which commercial objectives and KPIs are aligned with the brand direction.
• Work closely with the commercial team (customer director and head of digital) to plan, shape and execute the communications calendar, ensuring the business-wide strategy is reflected in all marketing efforts.
• Work closely with brand team (creative director, art director and senior copywriter) as they develop the brand direction and tone of voice; being responsible for translating this into a clear content strategy that reflects the brand values across all customer touchpoints.
• Project managing the commercial content creation daily and ensuring all assets (copy, visuals) are ready and approved in time for deadlines in line with the comms calendar. Ensure all stakeholders have access to the assets and tools they require and manage their deliveries in line with plan.
• Provide commercial insights to guide shoots and art direction.
• Execute regular content audits to keep content fresh, relevant, and updated in partnership with both brand- and commercial teams.
• Support various departments with ad-hoc editorial work.
• Find innovative ways to increase brand awareness and traction across channels.
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Prior experience from the luxury industry is highly meriting
• BA/BS degree, preferably in journalism, communication, English, liberal arts or similar
• Portfolio of highly creative work (please submit with application)
• Exceptional writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills
• Strong understanding of how to use different online platforms for applicable content
• Mac proficiency including Adobe Suites and Microsoft Office and can easily adapt to content management systems
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Right to work in the UK
