BBC Studios Documentary Unit is seeking an experienced Edit Producer to join the team behind one of Channel 4’s most streamed series – Murder Case: The Digital Detectives.
Back for an expanded six-part run, the series explores how cutting-edge digital forensics have helped solve recent murder cases. With access to police forces across the UK, each episode will focus on a single, solved case, providing a deeper insight into the digital lives of 21st century killers and their victims than ever before.
The ideal candidate will have a thoughtful approach to storytelling, with strong scripting skills—especially within retrospective true-crime formats—and confidence working with sensitive editorial content, archive, and interviews. Experience using GFX to support narrative is a welcome bonus. A good understanding of BBC Editorial Guidelines and compliance standards is important, along with strong organisational skills, sound editorial judgment, and the ability to manage edit schedules while staying calm and solutions-focused under pressure.
This is a Cardiff-based production, so the ideal candidate will live within commuting distance of Cardiff. The contract dates are between October and March 2026.
