Deutsche Bank is seeking an individual to join the eDiscovery Services team.The team is responsible for Deutsche Bank’s data retrieval, retention, and transfer of electronically stored information to internal requestors and external third parties to meet legal, compliance and regulatory requirements.This role has a direct impact on Deutsche Bank’s ability to respond to legal, regulatory, and human resource investigations and in turn the bank’s reputation.

The eDiscovery Structured Data Retrieval Specialist will be responsible for working directly with our stakeholders and IT Business teams in effectively managing eDiscovery Retrieval activities for the Structured Data team. The job will include managing collection requests, including quality controls, troubleshooting technical issues, keeping abreast of best practices and new eDiscovery tools, etc.

The role requires a high level of integrity to ensure the collections are right first time, every time. You will also be able to demonstrate a high level of discipline, making sure processes are followed in a consistent manner. The successful candidate will be an innovator and has a proven track record in driving continuous improvement with a ‘world class’ mind set.

Your key responsibilities

  • Identifying, retrieving, preserving, delivering, and quality controlling electronically stored information in support of ongoing legal requests, regulatory matters, or internal investigations in a legally defensible and reproducible manner, which maintains data integrity with a full chain-of-custody
  • Maintaining impeccable record keeping with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance with established procedures and adhere to controls for handling of strictly confidential data
  • Operating comfortably within a global team to pick up projects and support other regions where data privacy permits
  • Adhering to Service Level Agreements and the ability to anticipate, analyse, and resolve risks and issues while managing clear and concise communications and organisational escalation
  • Collaborating on internal projects and initiatives to deliver service improvement to the organisation

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree that is IT-related or with a legal-focus AND/OR eDiscovery subject matter expert and eDiscovery work experience with a company, law firm, professional service provider
  • Experience in client relationship management, excellent written and verbal communication skills and programming and/or scripting experience (SQL, BigQuery etc.)
  • Ability to positively influence and motivate stakeholders and team members through robust dialogue, facilitation, and persuasiveness. Ability to engage across a range of backgrounds and levels of seniority with the ability to translate technical terms into language that non-technical persons can understand
  • Detail oriented, analytical mindset, and strong organisational skills. Proven experience with identifying opportunities for automation or simplification of repetitive tasks
  • Using your innovative mind-set, identify relationships between multiple data sources transforming the data into meaningful business intelligence for our clients. Knowledge of one of more of the Banks trading platforms.
