Job Description:

Global Life Science company is looking to hire an eDiscovery & Data Solutions Project Manager to work within the Legal Operations team and to play a pivotal role in the Legal department’s mission to drive successful risk mitigation through the management of complex legal discovery projects. This role can be hybrid-working or fully remote.

Role Profile:

  • Leverage your expertise in eDiscovery and Data Solutions to oversee multiple litigation and investigation matters of varying complexity, collaborating with internal and external legal teams and IT personnel.
  • Explore and leverage emerging AI technologies to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Manage incoming eDiscovery requests from collection to production, working closely with the core team, the Sr. Manager of Legal Operations, and Legal department members.
  • Contribute to all stages of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model and consult with stakeholders to ensure accurate deliverables.
  • Develop specialized skills in either Collection/Preservation or Processing/Review/Production areas of eDiscovery.
  • Require both independent critical thinking and collaboration with a diverse team of eDiscovery Project Managers and Legal Operations specialists. Present results to key stakeholders, blending technical work with strategic communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage eDiscovery projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with legal, IT, and external vendors for seamless project execution.
  • Utilize Microsoft Purview and RelativityOne for data collection, processing, review, and production.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Oversee identification, preservation, collection, processing, and review of ESI.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the eDiscovery process.
  • Provide regular project status updates and address issues promptly.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a technical eDiscovery role.
  • Understanding of the Electronic Data Reference Model (EDRM).
  • Experience with data acquisition under GDPR.
  • Experience using Microsoft Purview eDiscovery for data search and export.
  • Experience with collection tools like EnCase and Cellebrite’s Digital Collector.
  • Experience with RelativityOne platform, including document review, analysis, and crafting complex queries.
  • Project management skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Relativity aiR suite experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective team collaboration, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Legal Studies, or Paralegal certification; or equivalent experience.
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA), EnCase Certified eDiscovery Practitioner (EnCEP), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), or Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) are advantageous but not required.
