Job summary

Careys is seeking a Site Engineer to support the technical delivery of RC frame and groundworks projects across the Edinburgh region. You will work within a skilled operations team, interpreting engineering information and ensuring delivery to programme and budget.

The role focuses on setting out, surveying, quality checks and collaboration with Site Managers, Apprentices and subcontractors, with mentoring duties for graduates.

Qualifications

Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Structural Engineering to HNC level or above.
Track record delivering setting out and engineering processes on concrete frame projects.
Ability to use CAD software for data transfer to/from single person working kit.
Mentoring Graduate and Apprentice Engineers is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Carry out accurate setting out using surveying equipment.
Check levels, dimensions and tolerances to ensure work is correct.
Support Senior Engineer in resolving technical queries and RFIs.
