Job summary

Contract Scotland in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver refurbishment and fit-out projects from inception to handover. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and clients to achieve high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

The role focuses on collaboration, safety, and client satisfaction within an established team, offering autonomy and opportunities to progress within a respected contractor.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing construction projects from start to finish.
• Experience working within a main contractor environment.
• Knowledge of refurbishment and/or specialist fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, commercial controls and project delivery.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Relevant construction qualifications, with professional accreditation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects from pre-construction and planning through to completion and handover.
• Taking ownership of project programmes, budgets, resources and overall delivery.
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients to ensure projects run smoothly.
• Monitoring progress against agreed programmes and addressing any risks or challenges.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, quality standards and company procedures.
• Working closely with commercial teams to maintain cost control and project profitability.
• Leading project meetings and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Managing client expectations and building strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensuring all works are completed to the required specifications and standards.
• Driving a collaborative approach across project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
