Job summary

ARC Group in Edinburgh is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and procurement strategy on a major Edinburgh building project. You will drive cost control, procurement activity and commercial reporting, working with senior project and design teams to optimise outcomes.

You could be currently a Commercial Manager or an experienced Senior QS stepping into a leadership role, with a UK main contractor background and a track record of substantial city-centre developments.

Qualifications

• Experience of substantial building projects on UK main contracting background.
• Knowledge of procurement strategy and cost control.
• Ability to lead commercial team and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the project commercial and procurement strategy.
• Lead major subcontract procurement, negotiation and appointment.
• Manage project cost reporting, forecasting and cost-to-complete.
• Maintain strong commercial control across the project.
• Manage contractual risk, change and commercial opportunity.
• Oversee subcontract accounts through to final accounts.
• Monitor cashflow and overall commercial performance.
• Provide accurate commercial reporting to senior management.
• Work closely with the Project Director and design teams.
• Lead, support and develop the commercial team.
