Job Description:

Edge Strategy is part of the broader Infrastructure Engineering organization, and is responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our edge infrastructure, growing and managing partnerships with Internet Service Providers (ISP), and working closely with engineering teams on the evolution of our edge infrastructure to drive new approaches to supporting demand. As an Edge Strategy Manager, you'll own both the immediate actions and mid to long-term Edge Infrastructure strategy for your region, collaborate on deployment strategies to enhance growth, scale, and performance, and act as the primary POC with partner ISPs to deliver top-tier experience for end-users.

  1. Develop and execute strategy for geographic expansion in new and existing markets to improve performance and increase capacity.
  2. Negotiate and manage interconnection & caching agreements with ISP partners to support demand and long-term growth.
  3. Be the subject-matter-expert and act as a consultant to internal teams as needed to deliver in-depth understanding of ISP networks, capabilities, and ecosystems.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the evolution of edge infrastructure and drive innovative approaches to delivering traffic via interconnection and caching solutions that enhance growth, scale, and performance.
  5. Drive and deliver high-impact, cross-functional programs that focus on improving quality and efficiency of internal systems and processes, as well as enhancing our partners' experience.
  6. Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal strategy and sourcing team members as well as cross-functional teams and stakeholders; actively tracking and reporting progress for all projects and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong project management experience and proficiency and familiarity with office productivity software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Jira, etc).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, including leadership across the organization.
  • Proven ability to navigate fast-paced, ever-evolving environments, demonstrating resourcefulness and creativity in solving complex challenges and implementing scalable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years of technical experience with IP Networking and BGP routing in large-scale environments including ISPs, Content Providers, and CDNs either as an engineer, product manager, or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with negotiations and partner management of ISPs and other service providers in the region.
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure including ISPs, data centers, and cloud infrastructure in the Middle East and Africa, including market dynamics, and current challenges.
