We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be an Edge of Care Residential worker in our edge of care service and established children’s home that has been consistently rated Good by Ofsted.
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring person who shares our passion for supporting our most vulnerable children, to join our service that works with families at times of crisis to help prevent their children coming into care, as well as supporting the young people in the home to restore and rebuild relationships.
The home consists of a registered homes manager, 2 deputy managers, 6 portfolio leads and a team of residential care workers and wake night staff.
As an Edge of Care Worker Residential Worker, you will be required to work as part of an outreach support service which also offers short to medium term stays for children and young people within our residential home. You will support children, young people and their families with a robust package of support that could include community outreach, providing care to the young people within the residential home and transition plans home where appropriate.
As part of this role, you will be expected to work evenings, weekend and complete sleep-in shifts.
This role can be challenging, rewarding and we are looking for people that are flexible, motivated, and resilient. The right candidate will be highly skilled, be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team as well as being able to work unsupervised within the community.
The right candidate ideally will have experience in a children’s residential setting .
The right candidate will have the ability to meet the travel needs of the post. It is essential to have access to a car with business insurance or the ability to acquire business insurance as the post will involve transporting children, young people and families.
Along with a competitive salary you will be paid enhancements at 20% or 30%, sleep ins rates and mileage allowances that will enhance your salary. You will have access to an extensive training package with development opportunities. You must hold or be willing to work towards a level 3 Diploma in Residential Care Work.
