The Opportunity

As the Global Strategic Planning and Administration Lead, you will oversee strategic planning and administrative functions within our Medical team, collaborating across departments to align activities with Astellas’ corporate strategy. Your insights will be vital in guiding our initiatives and ensuring effective communication across management levels.

Work Environment

We offer a hybrid working model, combining in-office collaboration at least once per quarter at our Addlestone office with flexible remote work, to promote work-life balance and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the execution of Medical Affairs strategic plans.
  2. Lead initiatives related to the Medical Affairs strategic roadmap and generate high-quality reports for management.
  3. Coordinate with other divisions to ensure alignment and sharing of best practices.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a global context or consulting.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills.
  • Leadership abilities and experience managing multiple priorities in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information and crafting compelling narratives.
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on high performance and impactful results.
Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and practices.
Education/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Science or equivalent.
Additional Information
  • This is a permanent, full-time position based in the United Kingdom.
  • The role follows our hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of one day per quarter in our Addlestone office, with flexibility depending on business needs.
