Job Description
  1. Support delivery of our Eligibility Services contract work via online, telephone, and postal applications.
  2. Act as the first point of contact for applicants and system administrator for the NEC system to input and process applications.
  3. Process applications, queries, and payments using the computerized NEC interface, ensuring professionalism, accurate data recording, and timely updates.
  4. Liaise with applicants to process information into the Northgate System.
  5. Undertake eligibility checks with applicants, seeking information directly and utilizing additional interfaces for confirmation.
  6. Understand the legislation and criteria involved in the eligibility services.
  7. Comply with the Processing Services Customer Charter when dealing with all calls.
  8. Complete statistical information as instructed by the Service Manager.
  9. Support system access requests and assist customers in using the system.
  10. Work as part of the team to achieve targets set by the Service Manager.
  11. Respond to enquiries from clients, citizens, and colleagues professionally.
  12. Share knowledge with team members to ensure continuity, with proper handover during absences.
Qualifications
  1. Experience in contact or processing center work.
  2. Attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
  3. Excellent telephone manner.
  4. Knowledge of service center processes, policies, and procedures.
  5. Strong computer skills, especially with Google Mail, Google Drive, and Google Forms.
  6. Excellent communication and written skills.
  7. Proven track record of meeting operational targets.
  8. Well organized.
