Job Title: Production Operator
Situation in Organisation
Member of the plant operations team. Reports to the production supervisor. Works in a variable shift schedule depending on business needs.
Job Dimensions
- Produces, inspects, and packages products according to batch formulations using various mixing, blending, and packaging equipment.
- Follows all EHS and Quality procedures to ensure safe production of quality products.
- Records all material usage manually and via computer, and accurately fills out process batch sheets.
Activities
- Follows process batch sheets to produce quality products per prescribed standards.
- Adheres to all plant policies, practices, and procedures to meet safety, quality, service, and cost objectives.
- Practices Continuous Quality Improvement in all processes.
- Participates in Bostik's Safety programs to promote safe behavior and achieve Zero Incidents.
- Monitors and adjusts equipment as necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Works cooperatively with all employees and leadership to meet plant and shift objectives.
- Maintains a high level of housekeeping in the work area and facility.
- Completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Operates various equipment including mixers, blenders, packaging lines, forklifts, palletizers, and basic hand tools.
- Uses computer controls to operate equipment.
- Participates in Continuous Improvement projects and Kaizen events.
- Rotates to other work functions as required by process flow.
Context and Environment
Works in a fast-paced production environment where safety, accuracy, and speed are essential. Must effectively multitask due to competing priorities. Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and walk throughout the workday. Works in a non-climate-controlled environment. Operates production equipment, material handling equipment, and hand tools. Uses computers for data management and training.

Qualifications / Experience Required
Required Skills/Experience:
- High school diploma / GED, with ability to read English and perform basic math skills.
- Willing to work off-shift and overtime as necessary.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Applications, Lotus Notes).
- Forklift experience.
- Ability to operate automated and semi-automated equipment.
Starting pay of $19.50 per hour plus shift differential of $0.85.
