Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor

This role is ideal for individuals seeking to move away from traditional classroom settings and make a positive impact on disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. The successful tutor will be responsible for creating, planning, and delivering tailored 1:1 lessons to bridge educational gaps for KS3 or KS4 pupils, enhancing their engagement and attainment levels.

We are seeking English, Maths, and Science Tutors who are passionate about working with children and young people with diverse learning needs, employing a creative, flexible, and holistic approach to significantly improve their educational prospects.

Details of the Position

• Location: Within the community or pupils' homes in Oldham
• Position: Functional Skills Tutor
• Type of work: Contract
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
• End date: Ongoing
• Contract type: Temporary
• Hours: Part-time (6-15 hours per week, per student)
• Pay: GBP 25 per hour minimum
• Working hours: Flexible, depending on family schedules
