Is Your Career in Care as Rewarding as It Could Be?

Are you seeking flexible or part-time hours that fit your lifestyle? Have you ever imagined a fun and impactful career in education outside the traditional classroom setting? At Macintyre, we offer incredible perks and the opportunity to make a genuine difference! Our commitment to the individuals we support is woven into our DNA and values.

Could You Inspire Young People with Learning Disabilities?

No prior experience is needed—we provide all the training you need! All you require is a UK manual driving license and a GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Role Details:

This is a term-time position covering 39 weeks a year, working with students from 9 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Most of your work will be during term time, with up to three weeks of training and development during academic holidays.

How Relief Hours Work:

Think of it as a flexible arrangement without the drawbacks of a zero-hour contract:

  • Work when it suits you.
  • Receive the same professional training and qualifications as our permanent staff.
  • Designed to fit your needs, not just ours.
  • Over 95% of our team are on permanent contracts, and you'll be supported in applying for one when ready.
Job Security and Career Development:

The Relief (Bank) position supports our permanent staff by filling shifts during annual leave, training, and other absences. While hours may vary, your manager will work to balance service needs with your work-life balance.

At Macintyre No Limits, we pride ourselves on our supportive and friendly culture. We place the students we support at the heart of everything we do, striving to create a meaningful impact and change lives.

Role of Education Mentors:

As an Education Mentor, you’ll work at our base in Abingdon College and in the community, providing tuition on vital life skills such as using public transport, managing money, and accessing local resources like libraries and sports centres.

We support students with special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and communication difficulties, aged 16-25. Our focus is on fostering a nurturing environment that utilizes their interests and passions to enhance learning.

Our team consists of confident and skilled individuals who build positive relationships, break down barriers, and help students develop self-esteem. Thanks to their dedication, our students achieve outstanding results and reach their goals.

Thank you for considering No Limits as your potential workplace. We look forward to the possibility of working together to create a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Please note that we are currently unable to offer sponsorships while we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
