With a strong pipeline of confirmed work into 2025, we have opportunities for Contaminated Land / Geo-environmental Consultants and Assistant Consultants, specifically to support contaminated land assessment and remediation projects.

A little more about your role...

Key Responsibilities
  • Site work including supervision and management of site investigations
  • Field work including soil logging, environmental sampling, and ground gas monitoring
  • Data collation, review, and interpretation
  • Support with site investigation design
  • Preparation of technical reports including desk studies, site investigation reports, remediation options appraisals, and verification reports
  • Ensuring all work is delivered in line with procedures and to the highest safety, health, and environmental standards.

A typical week could include:

  • Phase 1 Desk Study researching and reporting
  • Phase 2 Site Investigation design, supervision, soil sampling, soil logging, subcontractor management, and risk assessments
  • Adherence (with training) to best technical, engineering, and health & safety practices
  • Communicating with clients, subcontractors, and working as part of a project team

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate...
Experience
  • On-site experience of site investigation and field works
  • Experience preparing Phase 1 contaminated land/geo-environmental desk studies
  • Knowledge of planning, designing, and managing site investigations
  • Experience of soil logging
  • Application of CDM Regulations in investigations
  • Understanding of UK land contamination regime and risk assessment approaches
  • Report writing skills for technical information presentation
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree (chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, environmental science)
  • Working towards or willing to pursue Chartership
  • Full UK driving license
