Job description

Location: London – Hybrid role 3 days in office is a must

Purpose of role:
Our client has a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in commercial insurance to join our friendly and experienced team in London. The team has a great blend of experience, knowledge, and dynamism and has an excellent local reputation as a community broker, delivering great outcomes for their clients. You could be joining them!

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing a comprehensive insurance service to existing and potential new clients.
  • Providing quotations on all types of Commercial Insurance, via the telephone, face-to-face, or in writing, placing cover when instructed, inviting, and confirming renewals, and dealing with mid-term adjustments, and where appropriate, looking after claims.
  • The role includes a mix of handling your own clients end to end and working with Account Executives to look after clients’ needs to ultimately help them achieve their business objectives and continued growth.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years in commercial insurance within insurance; property, casualty, motor, and professional negligence.
  • Understanding of FCA regulations and the importance of acting compliantly.

Preferred:

  • Dip or ACII this would be advantageous.
  • Ideally have experience within a Broking environment.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to hold effective conversations over the phone.
  • Used to working with IT systems daily.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organise and manage your time efficiently.
  • The role is flexible to suit a junior commercial insurance professional looking to take that next step through to an experienced Senior Account Handler who wants to join a friendly team in a growing business.
