Project Manager

The Role

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering multiple ongoing projects to the specified quality, schedule, and budget, working closely with estimating, engineering, and surveying teams to ensure safety and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Produce financial forecasts, monitor project costs, and report on project performance
  2. Manage projects from design to completion, including handover documentation
  3. Review progress, resources, and planning
  4. Define and understand work packages
  5. Lead weekly site meetings and maintain records
  6. Build relationships with clients, suppliers, and consultants
  7. Develop and maintain construction programmes
  8. Manage site investigations and develop engineering solutions
  9. Ensure compliance with project plans, risk assessments, and procurement procedures
  10. Maintain detailed site records
  11. Drive cost efficiencies and challenge the status quo
  12. Prepare estimates for additional work and assist in tendering
  13. Develop new client relationships
Health, Safety, and Environment

Lead by example in promoting HS&E procedures, ensuring legal and company compliance, updating documentation, and providing training.

Quality

Manage ITPs, ensure QA documentation is maintained, resolve technical queries, and oversee as-builts and manuals.

About You
Essential
  • Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM, design, programme, risk management, and cost control
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar software
  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • MEICA skills
  • CSCS manager’s card, SMSTS, NEBOSH
  • Understanding of NEC contracts
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to challenge designs and manage projects independently
Desirable
  • CEng MICE
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts
