Job Description:

Join us as a Vice President in Risk & Controls, Market Abuse Risk Assessments (MARA).

  • Play a key role in preventing potential market abuse risks, mitigating, monitoring, and reporting risk effectively.
  • Support and collaborate with the first line of defence and businesses in applying effective market abuse risk management and assessing potential impacts across the bank.
  • This role offers the opportunity to liaise with various stakeholders, develop your network, and raise your profile within the bank.
What you'll do

You’ll support the delivery of market abuse risk assessments to ensure effective application of the risk framework, conduct risk, and regulatory obligations, enhancing understanding and management of market abuse risk across the bank.

You will also:

  • Analyze relevant management information to support effective risk management.
  • Develop guidance notes and training materials to upskill the first line of defence and businesses.
  • Assist management in stakeholder meetings and key forums by preparing supporting documentation and assessing regulatory impacts.
  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships across the bank to gather intelligence on emerging risks and controls.
The skills you'll need

Successful candidates will have experience in a large financial services organization, particularly in a risk role within the first or second line of defence.

  • A proven track record of achievement and delivery.
  • Experience or knowledge in trading.
  • Understanding of market abuse behaviors and related regulations.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and scenario analysis methodologies.
  • Knowledge of operational risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence at all levels.
