Salary: GBP54,048 per annum, DOE
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are now recruiting for an Operations Control Centre (OCC) Manager to join our operations team.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Head of Operations and Safety, the OCC Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Operations Control Centre, ensuring efficient, effective and customer-focused management of a team of 21 individuals. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining high operational standards, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

As OCC Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a team of 21OCC staff, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the OCC, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed and developed where necessary to deliver excellence in the department.
  • Devise and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to enhance operations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and resolve any operational issues or emergencies that arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on OCC performance to senior management.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting professional growth and development.

To be able to succeed in the OCC Manager role, you must have:

  • A Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an operations or control centre environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

It would be desirable if you also have:

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with operational demands and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using operations management software and tools.
