Our work spans Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design, as well as Construction and Installation activities, primarily in offshore wind, interconnectors, and energy transition projects.

Role:

The Engineering Manager - Electrical & Power Systems will be responsible for delivering Electrical & Power Systems engineering outputs for our projects. The role involves providing technical expertise for ongoing projects, bids, and proposals, and representing Evolv Energies at client and stakeholder meetings as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing inspirational leadership, mentoring, and management to the Electrical & Power Systems Engineering team.
• Developing and leading the growth of technology, personnel, and team capabilities.
• Leading Electrical & Power Systems engineering contributions to tenders and project deliverables.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders such as TA's, SME's, and other discipline engineers.
• Managing Electrical & Power Systems engineering deliverables through all project phases, including feasibility studies, specifications, design reviews, and assurance.
• Ensuring projects and tenders meet both Evolv Energies and client engineering standards, with a focus on quality assurance.
• Allocating appropriate electrical engineering resources throughout project tendering and execution.
• Incorporating sound engineering practices and innovative solutions to add value for clients.
• Promoting and managing safety in design, ensuring compliance with legislation, and fulfilling CDM Principal Designer and Designer roles.

Role Requirements:

• A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to work collaboratively across all levels.
• Chartered Engineer with proven expertise in electrical engineering within offshore wind and power transmission sectors, with experience across all project phases.
• Recognized industry expert with substantial experience in offshore wind and power transmission/distribution (HVAC & HVDC), and a thorough understanding of performance requirements.
• Significant management experience in electrical engineering roles.
• Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
• Interest and willingness to develop external and internal professional relationships, including participation in industry groups.
