We are looking for a proactive, dedicated and dynamic individual who is a strong team player, excellent communicator, well organised who understands the importance of cultural competence and understanding, what it looks and feels like for both staff and patients and with support of the Equality Team embed compassionate and inclusive services across the BCUHB.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the Equality team the post holder will have a key role in developing and providing established training and sessions for staff across the health board. Helping to also contribute to the design and delivery of people, culture and organisational development strategies, processes and interventions that help create a compassionate, collective and inclusive culture. The post holder will work across the organisation to manage, coordinate and deliver agreed training and have a key role in supporting the development and implementation of the Strategic Equality Objectives, WG Equality focused action plans as well as link into the Culture & Leadership Programme.

Working closely with the patient experience team, ensuring that the patients voice from all communities is heard, and is embedded in every aspect of service delivery across the BCUHB.

The Culture, Education and Training Leadwill develop and deliver on a wide range of innovative Learning and Organisational Development strategies to enhance staff and patient experience across the BCUHB.

This role will support interpretation of national legislation and BCUHB policies including Welsh Government’s Anti-racist Wales Action Plan. Welsh Governments LGBTQ+ Action Plan, Putting things Right (PTR), Duty of Candour and the Wales duty of Quality.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Post Graduate Diploma level qualification or equivalent working experience in facilitation and/or coaching

Desirable criteria

  • Post graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • OD/change management experience and/or qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience in planning, developing and delivering staff engagement activities in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Experienced in planning & facilitating focus groups / workshops
  • Experience in using a range of evaluation methods including impact assessment
