Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a paediatric nurse to work within our nursing team on Disney ward. The nursing staff on Disney Ward support and care for infants, children, and young people aged 0-16 years with acute medical and surgical problems, chronic and complex health conditions, life-limiting conditions, and those undergoing elective surgery. We support children having day case procedures and work closely with the Children's Specialist Nurses, Children Community Nurses, and nursing staff in the Children's Outpatient Department.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible to support the team of paediatric nurses and doctors on the ward. You will work with the multi-professional teams to ensure children receive the best care, promoting their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

In return, you will have a robust induction package including orientation to the Trust.

You will be expected to work Day and Night shifts 24/7. Shift patterns are 0700-1930 and 1900-0730.

You will be supported by the ward manager and senior nurses on the ward.
