Job description

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Content Editor – Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2025

Salary: National – circa £35,000 / London – circa £45,000

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an expert Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Content Editor to join our team based in Eastleigh, York and London.

This is an excellent role for someone who has a passion for crafting engaging and customer driven web experiences!

Aviva operates a “smart-working” policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office, and this role is based in Eastleigh, York or London.

A bit about the job:

The successful individual will be responsible for the management, build and publishing of pages in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), playing a pivotal role in delivering the best possible web experiences for public websites; primarily on the aviva.co.uk customer website, and supporting with project initiatives.

The position holder will require an understanding of digital best practices, user experience & design principles, and accessibility standards to enable them to make suggestions on content and product and provide guidance to business collaborators.

You will have strong team-working attributes, working in a small multi-location team; be self-sufficient, inputting valuable opinion to team discussions, as well as providing quality assurance, delivering to timelines, and collaborating with various creative disciplines and various collaborators across the market. This position will also provide training and support to other AEM authors/publishers, with the ability to respond to risk and emergency events, with the potential for occasional out of hours support.

Additional prior knowledge of Adobe Campaign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Analytics, and Jira is desirable.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Relevant experience in web production using advanced CMS systems; specifically, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Recent and demonstrable experience of actively using AEM to edit and publish content is essential.
  • Experience in website information architecture, with an appreciation of website structure management and search engine optimisation (SEO), preferable but not essential.
  • A strong collaborator, working with business units, technical developers, content, SEO, user experience and visual design creatives to ensure you can comprehensively answer and fully deliver requirements, ideally within the Financial Services sector.
  • Stakeholder management skills, to balance multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations; always upholding best-practice; ensuring the customer is put at the heart of every decision that’s made.
  • Resourceful, self-organised and motivated individual, with excellent attention to detail, who can work independently and as part of a multi-site team.

What you’ll get for this role:

Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow – is a promise we make to our colleagues too. And one of the ways we live up to that promise is by investing in you. We have so much to offer when it comes to being an Aviva colleague.

  • Starting salary circa £35,000 (National) / circa £45,000 (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity – 8% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days
  • Make your money go further - Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme
  • Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave
  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work
  • Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others
  • We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools
