Job description

Join the team as a Land Surveyor in our growing business and along with exciting opportunities to work on some of the largest UK construction projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Working with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total stations, GNSS, and data collectors.
  2. Setting out for different trades in construction.
  3. Establishing survey controls, setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing, and other land surveying work.
  4. Resolve any unexpected site issues and resolve with help from the team and management as required.
  5. Accurately and consistently record surveying information on site to the agreed specification and scope.
  6. Process data from the field into the office, post-processing with software, such as AutoCAD.
  7. Building and maintaining client relationships ensuring we deliver to our client’s expectations.
  8. Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments.
  9. Checking the quality of information collected on site, and the successful transition to deliverables.
  10. Ensure that all survey kit is maintained and well kept.
  11. Deliver to company policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.
  12. Working with the Project Manager to assist with quoting for jobs.
Candidate Requirements
  1. This can be a fast-paced environment that changes quickly, so candidates need to be able to adapt to change and prioritize workloads.
  2. We want somebody who can multi-task, be adaptable, and become a valuable member of our team.
  3. Surveying experience.
  4. Flexibility to travel to our sites nationwide.
  5. Able to work collaboratively in a team and deal with clients on site.
  6. Holds a full UK manual driving license.
  7. Excellent communication skills, and ability to work closely with all levels of stakeholders.
Desirables
  1. RICS/ ICES Qualified.
  2. University degree in a survey-related field.
  3. CSCS Card holder (This will be required before starting work).
  4. N4CE experience or software knowledge.
  5. Laser Scanning Experience with point cloud registration & BIM workflows.
  6. Monitoring Experience.
  7. UAV / Drone Experience.
  8. GIS and/or BIM Software Experience (ArcGIS Pro, Revit, Civil 3D etc).
