Job Description:

PURPOSE
Responsible for administering clinical study assessments, observing study participants' symptoms, and documenting observations via psychiatric rating scales according to study requirements. Maintains documentation throughout the study lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer clinical rating scales to assess symptom severity in CNS clinical studies.
  • Complete study-specific rater training and certification.
  • Measure symptom severity of study participants.
  • Observe participants using approved assessments during the study.
  • Report to and work under the guidance of the principal investigator and/or sub-investigator.
  • Assist in managing and assessing adverse events.
  • Support study team with assessments, data clarification, and queries.
  • Serve as Sub-I where applicable under PI delegation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Medical Degree - Board-certified psychiatrist, PhD, MD, or DO.
  • Minimum two years of clinical and research experience with neuropsychiatric populations.
  • At least two years of neuropsychiatric rater experience, preferably supporting clinical trials with over 25 assessments in the last year.
  • Competency in rating scales as required; undergo study rater training and certification.

ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
