Job Description:

The School of Health Education and Care is seeking a full-time Lecturer passionate about inspiring young people to achieve their full potential at West Herts College.

The successful candidate will plan, deliver, and assess courses in Health and Social Care and/or Childcare at levels 1, 2, and 3.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality skills and knowledge through curriculum planning, resource preparation, lesson delivery, marking, and student support.

We seek an adaptable industry specialist capable of teaching and embedding essential skills within Health and Social Care, with potential to deliver Childcare qualifications. Learners will undertake valuable work experience placements to prepare for careers in Health, Social Care, or Childcare sectors.

This role is ideal for someone eager to work in a stimulating environment, inspiring students to excel. Candidates should possess essential skills and knowledge in Health and Social Care, with additional skills in Childcare or Psychology considered a plus. Experience working with young people or apprentices in educational settings and an inspirational approach are essential.

Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent in Health and Social Care and relevant vocational experience. A teaching qualification is advantageous; full training will be provided if needed.

The successful candidate will join a motivated team dedicated to raising standards and improving learner outcomes.
