At NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT), marketing plays a vital role in transforming public attitudes towards donation. Through engaging campaigns, we encourage more people to give the gift of life by registering as organ donors. In Wales, this is especially important as we reconnect people with donation following the opt-out law introduced 10 years ago. We need a talented Marketing Manager to lead activity in Wales. This standalone role offers high autonomy—you will own and deliver the region's marketing and communications strategy. With strong communication and influencing skills, you'll run campaigns, engage media, and represent NHSBT at events. There is no paid advertising budget, so creativity and collaboration are key. You'll work with NHSBT's national teams and be supported by regional specialist nurses.
This is a rewarding part-time role (3 days/week) that makes a real difference. We are looking for someone who understands Welsh culture and media and is willing to travel across Wales. Based in England? That's fine, if you're willing to travel as needed.
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging the public across Wales with organ donation. Your responsibilities will include:
Willingness and flexibility to work irregular hours and to travel throughout Wales, including overnight stays when required (with prior notice). The role may also involve out-of-hours work, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays (time off in lieu will be granted).
