Responsibility for a small portfolio of Audit clients & associated audit workflow, whilst supporting senior colleagues across all audit job requirements, providing a high quality client service experience whilst ensuring adherence to individual job budgets and maximum fee recovery.
About The Role
- Ownership of small client portfolio/contacts for ongoing management and development
- Partners and colleagues in other service lines who are key stakeholders in audit clients
- Supervision of Audit seniors/semi seniors & assistants
- Supporting the service line’s business development activities
- Government bodies and external organisations such as HMRC
What we're looking for
Job/Workflow & Technical Management
- Ensure the planning & prioritising of all relevant client audit work within own and others’ clients
- Preparation or delegation of key client audit work in line with agreed budget ensuring adherence to The KR Way standards of performance, particularly The Life of an Audit, liaising with managers and upwards where necessary on complex areas
- Proactively seek ways to maximise audit efficiency
- Establish scope and budget for each audit, briefing team members accordingly
- Work on complex consolidations & accounts, and more complex audit areas
- Act as a key contact for outsourced team members
- Monitor work progress and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
- Research and resolve issues, escalating complex or high-risk matters
- Manage instances where work exceeds the client fee, seeking mutual agreement
- Complete audit file administration and reviews to ensure standards are met
- Clear manager & RI review points
- Ensure timely billing and update APS workflow
Client, Internal and External Organisational Contact
- Manage and develop a small client portfolio, maximizing advocacy and fee levels
- Act as a key contact for other audit clients to maximize delivered work
- Respond to communications promptly and attend/lead review meetings
- Proactively add value through client contact
- Support internal departments in accessing and supporting audit clients to facilitate cross-selling
- Maintain client hygiene factors such as AML, KYC reviews, and engagement letters
Leadership, People Management and Development
- Supervise team members involved in audit work
- Set clear task plans and milestones
- Provide feedback on standards, errors, and opportunities for improvement
- Participate in training delivery for new and junior staff
New Business Development
- Support departmental growth through networking, pitches, webinars, and content creation
- Develop internal connections for cross-departmental support and referrals
