Job Description

We are recruiting a Global HR Payroll Innovation Manager to ensure efficient, compliant payroll processing across L&G regions. This role acts as the main link between HR, Tax, Finance, and Payroll teams (internal and external) to improve and redevelop payroll and benefits processes, including technology development and future-proofing strategies.

The scope includes managing domestic and shadow payrolls for the UK alongside global payroll teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement payroll & benefits strategies to ensure compliance with HR, Finance, and external regulators like HMRC.
2. Optimize payroll costs through automation and outsourcing, enhancing employee satisfaction and productivity.
3. Maintain processes that adhere to local, state, and federal laws regarding payroll, taxes, and record-keeping.
4. Establish new processes with tax advisors to ensure timely access to tax authority data.
5. Upskill payroll, HR, and finance teams on processes and controls, and reconcile data with tax authorities.
6. Manage payroll-related risks in collaboration with Risk Oversight, Supplier Management, and Information Security teams.
7. Produce MI reports on customer outcomes, escalating issues as needed.
8. Lead and develop employees to maximize performance.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills at all levels.
• Ability to establish robust processes and controls.
• Attention to detail and proficiency with tools like Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with international payroll processing and controls.
• Handling multiple payrolls, including global and shadow payrolls.
• Understanding stakeholder requirements across HR, Finance, and Tax.
• Previous international bureau payroll experience essential.
