Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Job Title: Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Coventry - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Salary: 45,000+ depending on experience

What you'll be doing:

• Develop a functional design for the Vehicle Control solution for SSNA.
• Work with stakeholders to oversee the delivery of the vehicle control solution and strategy.
• Collaborate with the engineering manager to deliver the vehicle control system using agile methods.
• Ensure the engineering delivery plan is met and delivered on schedule.
• Work with the Engineering Delivery Team to develop technical solutions and support team development.
• Engage with legacy stakeholders to develop solutions from baseline designs.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Experience in developing C&I designs for large-scale systems meeting various standards.
• Experience managing non-functional requirements like EMC and shock compliance.
• Experience in authoring/reviewing design documents such as I/O schedules and interface control documents.
• Degree or equivalent in STEM subjects.

Desirable:

• Understanding of control system architecture and communication protocols.
• Experience with IEC 61508 or similar functional safety standards.
• Experience with manoeuvring systems across industries.
